Online Teaching

My story: In 2016, I began a journey with a wonderful company called VIPKid. VIPKid is a company providing English lessons to students all over the world (predominantly in China). I absolutely fell in LOVE with the idea of staying in my pjs, connecting with younger students, and simply turning on my computer on and TEACHING. Although I adore my college students, teaching these young students fills a void I feel while teaching at the University level. I am an elementary teacher by heart, so this allows me to teach future teachers AND still experience the joy of a child learning!

This job has been absolutely incredible for my family. Not only do I enjoy the teaching, but the money is great, too! This job has helped us get ahead and pay off debt (shout out to fellow Dave Ramsey baby steppers). We could have never imagined what VIP has done for our family.

Once I found out how amazing the company was, how great the families were, and how awesome the pay was---I started telling friends. Most of my friends are teachers and could all use a little extra cash. Many of these friends got hired with the company and expressed that it simply "put the joy back in teaching." I knew I needed to continue sharing this blessing with others. 

Pretty soon, I became the company's top global referral person. I developed a process for coaching applicants through the process and formed a private support group to help others get hired. Due to my ranking with the company, I was given the opportunity to visit China, visit headquarters, and even meet some my students. It was SO incredible to hug them, kiss them, and tell them that "Teacher Samantha" loves them face to face!
